The story of Tulsi, the ultimate husband-devotee of God Vishnu is known in various sections of society. At first, the plant of basil developed in the Vrindavan area. Even today real basil (Tulsi) garlands are made out of Basil trees of this area and are considered expensive in various countries. From a scientific point of view, basil is a very beneficial medicine. Basil plant is considered a very sacred plant. Basil is found everywhere in India. Tulsi has three main varieties:-
- Ram Basil
- White Basil
- Black Basil
As per Ayurveda ethology, Basil is a very miraculous plant and it has many benefits, by chewing the leaf of Basil, many diseases of the abdomen are cured and applying liniment of Basil gives coolness to mind.
